I slept great on the Remeron the reason i stopped it is i gained some weight. Sleepless all the time. But i dont want to gain more weight.
I asked to be taken off it for that reason and was put on Wellbutrin XL mgs then mgs which caused me lots of anxiety already a severe problem so I was put on the SR version mgs BID then BID without anxiety and it helps with motivation but not good enough. Also is their anything I can take to prevent weight gain? I already exercise fairly intensely. I tried this combination recently and had similar results. My anxiety went up so bad depression became a second thought.

BuPROPion may rarely cause seizures, and combining it with other medications that can also cause seizures such as mirtazapine taken together increase that risk. You may be more susceptible if you are elderly, undergoing alcohol or drug withdrawal, have a history of seizures, or have "and wellbutrin" condition affecting the central nervous system can remeron as a brain tumor or head trauma.

I just got prescribed remeron 15mgs per day which I'm going to give a shot. Only thing I'm really worried about is if it makes me tired all the time. But I saw either on here or another forum that someone was taking remeron and wellbutrin along with another drug I don't remember.

Mirtazapine is a newer antidepressant that exhibits both noradrenergic and serotonergic activity. It is at least as effective as the older antidepressants for treating mild to severe depression.
