I have been taking adderall xr twice daily the regular Adderall 20 mg twice daily for five yearsand it works well, but next month my doctor says he is switching me to the xr?? Adderall is released more or less within 30 minutes or so. Adderall XR eXtended Release which means over hours.

The up side was I was able to focus so I stick with the short acting at 10 mg and soon had to up it to 15 then to 20mg. I tried 30mg and Wammo perfect. I started with WellbutrinXL mg a day and I still take the same dose.

The drug is made with a combination of amphetamine salts that affect the parts of the brain and central nervous system that control hyperactivity and impulses. Adderall was approved in to treat ADHD in children and adults, and to treat narcolepsy in adults.

I am an adult male taking Adderall XR 20mg per day which greatly helps me at work. I've been at that dose for a couple months.
